How it works
Understanding credit score
Your credit score (CIBIL and other bureaus) is a 300–900 number summarising how you have handled credit. Lenders use it to decide whether to lend and at what rate. Above 750 opens most doors; below 650 makes unsecured loans hard.
Paying every EMI and card bill on time for 6–12 months lifts most scores meaningfully. Clearing errors on the report through a bureau dispute can be faster.
